AMA St. Louis Case Study Competition

We are thrilled to announce the AMA St. Louis Case Study Competition, an incredible opportunity for your students to tackle a real-world marketing challenge, gain hands-on experience, and showcase their creativity in front of industry professionals.

This engaging competition is free to enter and offers students the chance to have fun, collaborate in teams, and make valuable connections, all while solving a marketing challenge that could lead to professional recognition for both them and your university.

  • Case Presentation & Q&A: Feb 13 (Kickoff Meeting)
  • Final Submission Due: March 14 (Video Presentation & PowerPoint) submitted to Nisha Ray Chaudhuri (malhotni@webster.edu) and Kyle Coble (kcoble@lindenwood.edu)
  • Finalists Announced: March 21
  • Finalists Prepare for Q&A: March 21 – March 27
  • Live Q&A with Judges (Top 3 Teams): March 28 (Zoom link will be provided)
  • Winner Announced at AMA-STL Conference: April 4

  • Ideal for:
    • Undergraduate or graduate students in marketing or advertising related programs.
    • Students currently enrolled in a marketing course.
    • Members of a student marketing club.
  • Multiple teams from your university are welcome, with up to 5 members per team.

Competition Highlights

  • Case Presentation: A live Zoom session on Thursday, February 13th, 2025 with Ms. Stephanie Lynch from Dance St. Louis will kick off the challenge and provide key insights.
  • The Challenge: Teams will design a strategy to help Dance St. Louis boost ticket sales, using segmentation, targeting, and market penetration tactics.
  • Submission Requirements: Final recommendations will be submitted as a recorded video presentation and accompanying PowerPoint slides by Friday, March 14th, 2025.
  • Finalists Announced: Judges will notify top teams by Friday, March 21st, 2025, with the top three participating in a virtual Q&A session on Friday, March 28th, 2025.
  • Winner Recognition: Winners will be celebrated at the AMA-STL Marketing Conference on Friday, April 4th, 2025, with additional promotion on AMA-STL platforms.
